RITCHIE LEADS SHEPHERD PAST A-B

PHILIPPI, WV -- Junior forward Jamie Ritchie (Remington, VA/ Liberty HS) scored a pair of goals an assisted on another to lead Shepherd University to a 5-0 win over Alderson-Broaddus in WVIAC men's soccer action on Saturday.

Sophomore forward Richard Smith (Gaithersburg, MD/Magruder HS), sophomore midfielder Dan Merold (Oak Hill, VA/Oakton HS), and junior forward/midfielder Donald Fon (Silver Spring, MD/Montgomery Blair HS) each added single tallies for the Rams.

Junior netminder Robert Pence (Woodbridge, VA/ Woodbridge HS) recorded three saves in goal for the Rams, while Phil Smith had four saves for the Battlers.

Shepherd improves to 10-3-4 overall, 3-2-1 in WVIAC action. The Rams return to action on Tuesday when they travel to UDC for a 2:00 p.m. contest.
