SHEPHERD RUNS PAST WESLEYAN

SHEPHERDSTOWN, WV -- Brady Catlett (Hedgesville, WV/ Hedgesville HS/New Hampshire) scored 22 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to lead Shepherd College to an 87-58 win over West Virginia Wesleyan in WVIAC men's basketball action on Saturday at Shepherd.

Catlett hit on 9-of-13 shots. The double-double effort was his fifth of the season.

Danley Shank (Chambersburg, PA/Chambersburg HS) added 19 points and nine rebounds, while Mark Jennings (Glen Burnie, MD/North County HS/Hagerstown CC) tossed in 13 points. Esosa Imoisili (Ellicott City, MD/Centennial HS/ Howard CC) contributed 10 points and eight boards and Matt Slaninka (Olney, MD/ DeMatha HS/Maryland) came off the bench to add 12 points and five rebounds in 15 minutes.

Lynell Ingram had 20 points and a game-high 12 rebounds to lead West Virginia Wesleyan. Jason Jones added 11 points and six rebounds.

Shepherd improves to 16-10 overall, 12-6 in conference action, while West Virginia Wesleyan drops to 3-24, 3-15. The Rams will host a yet to be determined opponent on Tuesday night at 7:30 p.m. at the Butcher Athletic Center. Tickets are $5.00 for adults and $2.00 for students. The first 250 Shepherd students will be admitted free with a Rambler Card to both the women's game on Monday and the men's game.
