SHEPHERD DEFEATS WEST VIRGINIA WESLEYAN

BUCKHANNON, W.Va. -- Danley Shank (Chambersburg, PA/Chambersburg HS) scored 21 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to lead Shepherd College to an 82-73 win over West Virginia Wesleyan at Wesleyan on Monday night. The win was the fifth straight for the Rams.

Mark Jennings (Glen Burnie, MD/North County HS/Hagerstown CC) added 19 points and seven rebounds, while Ross Mitchell (Yorktown, VA/ York HS) came off the bench to add 13 points. Brady Catlett (Hedgesville, WV/Hedgesville HS/New Hampshire) added 12 points and five rebounds, while Esosa Imoisili (Ellicott City, MD/Centennial HS/ Howard CC) had a nice all-around game with seven points, 10 rebounds, and five blocked shots.

Jelani Watson and Jason Jones scored 23 points each to lead the Bobcats. Watson also had a game-high 15 rebounds. Lynell Ingram added 12 points and 10 rebounds.

Shepherd improves to 14-9 overall, 10-5 in conference action, while West Virginia Wesleyan drops to 2-21, 2-12. The Rams return to action on Thursday when they travel to Glenville State for an 7:30 p.m. contest.
