JENNINGS REACHES 1,000-POINT MARK; RAMS DOWN UPJ

SHEPHERDSTOWN, WV -- Mark Jennings (Glen Burnie, MD/North County HS/Hagerstown CC) scored a game-high 23 points to lead Shepherd College to an 84-76 win over Pitt-Johnstown in men's basketball action at the Butcher Athletic Center on Monday night.

Jennings hit on 7-of-15 shots and was 8-for-9 from the free throw line. He also grabbed 10 rebounds. Jennings became the 33rd player in school history to reach the 1,000 point career scoring mark on a three-pointer with 10:10 remaining in the contest. He is just the sixth Ram player to accomplish the feat in only two seasons.

Danley Shank (Chambersburg, PA/Chambersburg HS) added 19 points and 11 rebounds, while Brady Catlett (Hedgesville, WV/Hedgesville HS/New Hampshire) had 17 points, 11 rebounds, and four assists. Esosa Imoisili (Ellicott City, MD/Centennial HS/ Howard CC) was also in double figures with 11 points.

Paul Byer scored 18 points to lead the Mountain Cats. Nick Mezyk added 18 points, Steve Scorpion had 13, and Joey Tutchstone tossed in 11.

Shepherd improves to 12-9, while Pitt-Johnstown falls to 12-7. The Rams return to action on Saturday when they travel to Davis & Elkins for a 4:00 p.m. contest.
