SHEPHERDSTOWN, W. Va. -- Wykeen Kelly scored a game-high 26 points to lead ninth-ranked Salem International to an 87-61 win over Shepherd College in WVIAC men's basketball action on Thursday night.
Kelly connected on 9-of-12 shots, including 4-of-4 from three-point range. Chucky Fine added 15 points and Jason Dunham had 13.
Shepherd was led by Demond Tapscott Fauquier/Warrenton, VA) with 25 points on a 10-of-19 shooting effort. Matt Slaninka (DeMatha/Hyattsville, MD) came off the bench to add 10 points and four rebounds. Keith Davis (Berkeley Springs (Mercersburg Academy)/Berkeley Springs, WV) led the Rams in rebounds with six boards.
The Rams fall to 4-6, 2-2 in conference action, while the Salem International improves to 12-0, 4-0. Shepherd returns to action on Saturday when it hosts Fairmont State for a 4:00 p.m. contest.
