SHEPHERD MEN'S BASKETBALL ADDS PAIR

SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. -- Shepherd University head men's basketball coach Ken Tyler announced today the addition of two new players to the program.

Davon Deans is a 6-5 forward from Stephens City, VA who played last season at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College. He will be eligible at the conclusion of the fall semester this year and will then have two full seasons remaining.

"Davon has incredible athleticism and can score in a variety of ways," said Tyler. "He should be an impact performer for us."

Mark Manspile, a 5-10 guard from Hedgesville, will join the team as an invited walk-on. Manspile spent last season as a student at WVU.

"Mark is a hard worker and will be a solid addition to our team," added Tyler. "Mark, Duncan Williams, and Matt Deaner all bring the competitiveness and winning mentality of the Hedgesville High School basketball program to Shepherd."
