LYMAS SIGNS WITH SHEPHERD

SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. -- Shepherd University head men's basketball coach Ken Tyler announced today the signing of point guard Fred Lymas to the Ram roster.

Lymas (6-2, 180), a graduate of Paint Branch High School in Burtonsville, MD, transfers to Shepherd from Division I Morgan State University. Lymas appeared in 22 contests at Morgan State with eight starts. He recorded a season-high of eight points against major Division I programs the University of Washington and Virginia Tech. He also played against NCAA champion Florida, as well as Big East members Miami and Seton Hall. He will have three years of eligibility remaining.

"Fred has good size for a point guard and has played against a high level of competition," said Tyler. "We feel that he will team with Duncan Williams to give us versatility, productivity, and leadership at the point for the next three years."
