MYERS LEADS SHEPHERD PAST OHIO VALLEY

VIENNA, W.Va. -- Junior guard Chad Myers (Vinton, VA/Hargrave Military Academy) scored a game and season-high 23 points to lead Shepherd University to a 75-70 win over Ohio Valley College in WVIAC men's basketball action at Ohio Valley on Thursday night.

Myers hit on 7-of-10 shots from the floor, including 4-of-5 performance from beyond the arc. He was also 5-for-5 from the free throw line.

Junior forward Danley Shank (Pond Bank, PA/Chambersburg HS) added 16 points, while junior forward Darren Stackhouse (Alexandria, VA/Garrett CC) posted a double-double with 13 points and a game-high 13 rebounds. Freshman guard Thomas Carr (Toledo, OH/ Hargrave Military Academy) added seven points and handed out a game-high six assists.

Marlon Pierre, Chris Cobbina, and Caleb Canton led the Fighting Scots with 13 points apiece. Steve Camberis added 10 points.

Shepherd improves to 8-13 overall, 6-6 in WVIAC play, while Ohio Valley drops to 3-18, 3-7. The Rams return to action on Saturday when they travel to Glenville for a 7:30 p.m. contest.
