SHEPHERDSTOWN, WV -- Danley Shank (Chambersburg, PA/Chambersburg HS) scored a game-high 24 points to lead Shepherd College to an 82-61 win over Ohio Valley in WVIAC men's basketball action at the Butcher Athletic Center on Thursday night.

Shank hit on 8-of-12 shots and was 7-of-8 from the charity stripe. He also had eight rebounds, three assists, and two blocked shots.

Matt Slaninka (Olney, MD/ DeMatha HS/Maryland) came off the bench to post career highs of 15 points and 10 rebounds. Mark Jennings (Glen Burnie, MD/North County HS/Hagerstown CC) added 14 points and six rebounds.

Derrick Whiteside scored 19 points to lead Ohio Valley. Chris Cobbina added nine points and a team-high seven rebounds.

Shepherd improves to 10-9 overall, 7-5 in conference play, while Ohio Valley falls to 3-16, 2-8. The Rams will be back in action on Saturday when they host Glenville State for a 7:30 p.m. contest.
