RAMS FALL TO OHIO VALLEY

VIENNA, W.Va. -- Chris Cobbina scored 19 points and Casey Hargrove added 18 to lead Ohio Valley College to a 71-56 win over Shepherd College in WVIAC men's basketball action on Thursday night.

Shepherd held a 28-20 advantage at halftime, but the Fighting Scots (2-17, 1-9) shot a scorching 73 percent from the floor in the second stanza en route to their first conference win of the year.

Mark Jennings (North County (Hagerstown CC)/Glen Burnie, MD) led Shepherd (7-13, 4-8) with 19 points on an 8-of-17 outing. He also hauled down a game-high eight rebounds. Keith Fanjoy (Hammond (Howard CC)/Columbia, MD) added nine points and six boards, while Laurynas Inokaitis (Miller School (VA)/Kaunas, Lithuania) came off the bench to contribute seven points and seven rebounds in 17 minutes of action.

Jerrod Eldridge added 15 points and Jason Read handed out 10 assists for Ohio Valley.

The Rams return to action on Saturday when they travel to Glenville State for a 4:00 p.m. contest.
