SHEPHERD HEADED TO CHARLESTON WITH WIN OVER GLENVILLE

SHEPHERDSTOWN, WV --Mark Jennings (Glen Burnie, MD/North County HS/Hagerstown CC) scored a game-high 32 points to lead Shepherd College to an 89-77 win over Glenville State in first round WVIAC Men's Basketball Tournament action on Tuesday night at Shepherd.

Jennings hit on 11-of-25 shots from the floor and was 9-for-10 from the charity stripe.

Danley Shank (Chambersburg, PA/Chambersburg HS) added 15 points and eight rebounds, while Mark Bressan (Charlottesville, VA/Albemarle HS) tossed in 14 points. Esosa Imoisili (Ellicott City, MD/Centennial HS/Howard CC) contributed 12 points and game-high six blocked shots and Brady Catlett (Hedgesville, WV/Hedgesville HS/New Hampshire) hauled down a game-high nine rebounds.

Andrew Harding had 18 points and game-high 10 assists to lead the Pioneers. Briant Taylor also added 18, while Anthony McGeathey had 14 and a team-high eight boards.

Shepherd improves to 17-10 overall, while Glenville completes its season at 10-18. The Rams will face the winner of the Alderson-Broaddus-Ohio Valley contest on Thursday at the Charleston Civic Center at 3:00 p.m.
