GLENVILLE, W.Va. -- Junior forward Danley Shank (Pond Bank, PA/Chambersburg HS) led five Ram players in double figures with 20 points as Shepherd University downed Glenville State College, 91-78, in WVIAC men's basketball action at Glenville on Saturday night.
Shank hit on 5-of-13 shots from the floor, including a 2-of-3 performance from beyond the arc. He was also 8-for-8 from the charity stripe.
Junior guard Chad Myers (Vinton, VA/Hargrave Military Academy) and junior forward Darren Stackhouse (Alexandria, VA/Garrett CC) each added 16 points while freshman guard Thomas Carr (Toledo, OH/ Hargrave Military Academy) had 14. Senior guard Ron Rheinhardt (Bowie, MD/Archbishop Carroll HS) added 10 points on a 3-for-3 effort from the floor and a 4-for-4 performance at the free throw line.
Larry Skinner scored a game-high 22 points to pace the Pioneers. Justice Graham had 19 points, while Matt Fletcher had 12 and grabbed a game-high nine rebounds.
Shepherd improves to 9-13 overall, 7-6 in conference action, while Glenville falls to 8-12, 4-7. The Rams return to action on Saturday when they host Davis & Elkins for a 4:00 p.m. contest.
