GLENVILLE KNOCKS OFF SHEPHERD

GLENVILLE, W.Va. -- Andrew Harding and Kenyon Jones each had 17 points to lead Glenville State to a 74-61 win over Shepherd College in WVIAC men's basketball action at Lilly Gymnasium on Saturday afternoon.

Tyrone McCann and Jacob Tolley each added 12 points for Glenville (8-12, 6-5). Harding led the Pioneers in assists with six, while Jones grabbed a team-high six rebounds.

Mark Jennings (North County (Hagerstown CC)/Glen Burnie, MD) scored a game-high 20 points to lead Shepherd (7-14, 4-9). He also grabbed a game-high seven rebounds. Keith Davis (Berkeley Springs (Mercersburg Academy)/Berkeley Springs, WV) and Phil Stewart (The Heights School/New Carrolton, MD) chipped in with 12 points each, while Keith Fanjoy (Hammond (Howard CC)/Columbia, MD) added eight points and six rebounds. Dorian Sims (Reading Central Catholic/Reading, PA) added six points, four assists, and a game-high four steals, while Kevin Newsome (Archbishop Carroll/Washington, DC) dished out a team-high five assists.

The Rams return to action on Wednesday when they travel to UDC for a 7:00 p.m. contest.
