SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. -- Dominque Liverpool scored 21 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to lead Glenville State to a 71-63 win over Shepherd College in WVIAC men's basketball action on Saturday at the Butcher Athletic Center.
Liverpool connected on 6-of-8 shots from the floor and sank 9-of-13 free throws. Tyrone McCann added 17 points for the Pioneers.
Demond Tapscott (Fauquier/Warrenton, VA) led the Rams with 20 points with 12 coming from three-point range. Ryan Jones (Banneker/Washington, DC) added 14 points and Carlton Talley (H.D. Woodson/Washington, DC) tossed in 11. Keith Davis (Berkeley Springs (Mercersburg Academy)/Berkeley Springs, WV) added eight points and grabbed a team-high seven rebounds.
Shepherd falls to 8-11, 6-7 in WVIAC play, while Glenville improves to 11-8, 9-2. The Rams return to action on Wednesday when they host UDC for a 8:00 p.m. contest.
