STACKHOUSE EARNS CONFERENCE HONORS

PRINCETON, W. Va. -- Senior forward Darren Stackhouse (Alexandria, VA/Hayfield HS/Garrett CC) of the Shepherd University men's basketball team was named WVIAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week for his oustanding performance last week. He joins Chad Myers as the second Ram to gain WVIAC weekly honors this season.

Stackhouse led Shepherd to a 2-1 week by averaging 23.6 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 2.0 blocks per game. He led Shepherd to an upset over then-nationally ranked West Liberty State with 25 points, 11 rebounds, and 5 assists. He connected on 24 of 39 field goals for the week (61.5%) and added 23 of 31 free throws. Stackhouse closed the week with a 26-point contest versus Salem International on 7-of-10 shooting and added 20 points and eight rebounds in Saturday's win over Fairmont State.
