MYERS EARNS WVIAC PLAYER OF THE WEEK HONORS

PRINCETON, W. Va. -- Senior guard Chad Myers (Vinton, VA/Hargrave Military Academy) was named WVIAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week for his oustanding performance in Shepherd's 85-69 win over Bloomsburg last Saturday. He is the first Ram to gain WVIAC weekly honors since Danley Shank was honored in February 2004.

Myers poured in 31 points during Shepherd's regional win over Bloomsburg. He tied the Shepherd single-game record by connecting on eight three-point field goals in a dozen attempts. On the afternoon, Myers sank 10 of 15 field goals and 3 of 3 free throws. His five straight three-pointers and 21 first half points helped the Rams build a 14-point lead at the break.
