RAMS FALL IN DOUBLE OVERTIME

SHEPHERDSTOWN, WV -- Concord College hit four free throws in the final 15 seconds of double overtime to gain a 110-107 win over Shepherd College in WVIAC men's basketball action at the Butcher Athletic Center on Saturday.

Concord took the lead for good with 57 seconds left on a three-point play by Anthony Lansdowne to take 106-105 lead. Lansdowne added a pair of free throws with 15 seconds remaining to extend the Concord lead to 108-105. After Mark Jennings (Glen Burnie, MD/North County HS/Hagerstown CC) hit a baseline jumper with seven seconds left to cut the lead to 108-107, Cedric Ganaway added a pair of free throws in the game's final seconds to seal the 110-107 win for the Mountain Lions.

Jennings scored a game-high 36 points and grabbed 12 rebounds. Danley Shank (Chambersburg, PA/Chambersburg HS), who calmly sank three free throws in the final seconds of the first overtime period to force another extra session, added 22 points and a game-high 14 rebounds. Esosa Imoisili (Ellicott City, MD/Centennial/ Howard CC) added 14 points, 13 rebounds, and four blocked shots. Ross Mitchell (Yorktown, VA/York HS) (14 points) and Brady Catlett (Hedgesville, WV/Hedgesville HS/New Hampshire) (12) were also in double figures for the Rams.

Lewis Muse led Concord with 30 points. Ganaway added 28, while Kent McBride poured in 18. Brian Atkins recorded a double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds.

Shepherd falls to 9-8 overall, 6-4 in conference play, while Concord improves to 15-3, 7-2. The Rams will be back in action on Monday when they travel to West Virginia State for a 7:00 p.m. conference contest.
