SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. -- Ryan Jones (Banneker/Washington, DC) scored a career-high 25 points to lead the Rams to an 84-74 win over Bluefield State in WVIAC men's basketball action on Thursday night at the Butcher Athletic Center.
Jones connected on 9-of-10 shots from the floor and was 7-of-10 from the foul line. Demond Tapscott (Fauquier/Warrenton, VA) added 20 points, while Keith Davis (Berkeley Springs (Mercersburg Academy)/Berkeley Springs, WV) posted a double-double with 14 points and 12 rebounds.
Cory Love led Bluefield State with 23 points, while Marcus Clements added 16 points and a game-high 12 rebounds.
The Rams improve to 6-9, 4-5 in conference action, while Bluefield State falls to 2-13, 1-7. Shepherd returns to action on Saturday to when they host Concord for a 4:00 p.m. contest.
