SHEPHERD FALLS TO BENTLEY

EAST STROUDSBURG, PA -- Bentley College handed Shepherd College a 97-78 setback in first round action of the Rotary Pocono Classic at East Stroudsburg University.

Shepherd's Brady Catlett (Hedgesville, WV/Hedgesville HS/New Hampshire) led all scorers with a career-high 29 points on a 13-of-17 shooting performance from the floor. Danley Shank (Chambersburg, PA/Chambersburg HS) added 20 points on an 8-of-13 effort, while Mark Jennings (Glen Burnie, MD/North County HS/Hagerstown CC) added 19 points on an 8-of-14 outing. Shank and Jennings also tied for game-high rebounding honors with seven each.

Sean Cook scored 21 points to lead Bentley. Greg Lacasse and Danny Whall added 17each and Pat Lynch chipped in with 15.

Shepherd falls to 1-4, while Bentley improves to 4-2. The Rams will face Southern Connecticut State in the consolation game on Saturday.
