RAMS FALL TO A-B
PHILIPPI, W.Va. -- Mike Tucker scored 18 points and grabbed 13 rebounds to lead Alderson-Broaddus College to an 82-65 win over Shepherd University in WVIAC men's basketball action at Alderson-Broaddus on Thursday night. The Shepherd loss snaps a five-game winning streak.
Tucker was an assist shy of a triple-double with a game-high nine. He also blocked three shots.
Samario Clancy added 16 points for the Battlers, Derrick Bell had 14, while Zach Green had 10.
Junior forward Danley Shank (Pond Bank, PA/Chambersburg HS) scored a game-high 19 points to pace the Rams. Shank hit on 7-of-12 shots from the floor and was 4-for-4 in free throws.
Junior forward Darren Stackhouse (Alexandria, VA/Garrett CC) had 14 points and junior guard Chad Myers (Vinton, VA/Hargrave Military Academy) added nine. Freshman guard Thomas Carr (Toledo, OH/Hargrave Military Academy) handed out a team-high six assists to go along with six points.
Shepherd falls to 12-14 overall, 10-7 in conference action, while Alderson-Broaddus improves to 21-5, 14-3. The Rams wrap up regular season play on Saturday when they travel to West Virginia Wesleyan for a 2:00 p.m. contest.
