PHILIPPI, W.Va -- Garland Ragler scored 16 points to lead Alderson-Broaddus to an 81-66 win over Shepherd College in WVIAC men's basketball action at Rex Pyles Arena on Monday night.
Joining Ragler in double figures for the Battlers were Josh Allen (12 points), Tyronne Hammonds (11), Mike Tucker (10), and John Tucker (10). Allen added game-highs of nine rebounds and seven assists.
Dorian Sims (Reading Central Catholic/Reading, PA) scored a career-high 28 points on a 10-of-19 shooting effort for the Rams. Sims also drained 5-of-9 three-pointers. Mark Jennings (North County (Hagerstown CC)/Glen Burnie, MD) added 11 points, while Keith Fanjoy (Hammond (Howard CC)/Columbia, MD) grabbed a team-high seven rebounds.
Shepherd drops to 5-9, 2-4 in conference action, while Alderson-Broaddus improves to 2-10, 1-4. The Rams return to action on Thursday when they host WVU-Tech. Action will begin at 8:00 p.m.
