(GLENVILLE, WV) -- Chris Owens nailed a 30-yard field goal as time expired to lift Glenville State to a 22-19 win over Shepherd in WVIAC football action on Saturday at Morris Stadium. The Pioneers erased a 13-point deficit in the final 3:51 of the game.

Junior running back Alex Herbert (Monrovia, MD/Urbana HS) led the Rams with 117 yards and a touchdown on 25 carries. He also caught two passes for 19 yards, including a 14-yard touchdown reception. Senior running back Travis Lynch (Ridgeley, WV/Frankfort HS) rushed 16 times for 84 yards.

The Shepherd defense was led by senior linebacker Chad McClintic (Williamsburg, WV/Greenbrier East HS). McClintic recorded a team-high 12 tackles, including six solos and a tackle-for-loss. He also forced a Pioneer fumble.

Redshirt-freshman quarterback Dan Chlebowski (Greencastle, PA/Greencastle-Antrim HS). complted 11-of-21 passes for 130 yards and a touchdown.

Joey Conrad completed 36-of-52 passes for 426 yards and two scores to rally the Pioneers. He also rushed for a team-high 56 yards on 10 attempts. Antonio Carter had 15 receptions for 170 yards to lead the receiving corps.

Shepherd falls to 2-4, 2-1 in conference play, while Glenville improves to 4-3, 3-0.

The Rams will host West Liberty next Saturday at Ram Stadium at 1:00 p.m.
