(GLENVILLE, WV) -- Lance Linden caught a 20-yard touchdown pass from Jack Mental that deflected off a Ram defender with 1:19 left in the game to lift Glenville State to a 28-21 win over Shepherd in WVIAC football action on Saturday at Morris Stadium.

Gordon completed 12-28 passes for 107 yards and a touchdown. Senior wide receiver Jason Dirting (Martinsburg/Martinsburg, WV) led the Ram receivers with five receptions for 29 yards. Junior running back Travis Lynch (Frankfort/Ridgeley, WV) left the game with an injury in the first quarter and did not return. He gained 45 yards on seven carries. Freshman Alex Herbert (Urbana /Monrovia, MD) led all Ram rushers with 84 yards and two touchdowns on 26 carries.

The Shepherd defense was led by freshman outside linebacker Ron Frazier (Gaithersburg/Gaithersburg, MD). Frazier recorded a game-high 13 tackles, including 10 solos and two tackles-for-loss. He also blocked a Pioneer field goal.

Shepherd falls to 6-1, 3-1 in conference play, while Glenville improves to 3-3, 3-1.

The Rams will host West Liberty next Saturday at Ram Stadium at 1:00 p.m. for the final home contest of the season.
