RAMS FINISH SIXTH AT WESLEYAN

ROANOKE, W.Va.-- --Indiana (PA) nipped West Liberty State by one stroke to take the title at the West Virginia Wesleyan Intercollegiate. The Indians finished with a 36-hole total of 627 at the difficult Stonewall Jackson Resort Golf Course. West Liberty fired Tuesday's low round of 309, but was a shot back at 628 for the two day event. Shepherd finished sixth in the 10-team field.

Clarion's Matt Guyton, a top seven finisher at the 2003 NCAA Division II nationals, took the individual medalist honor after defeating Wesleyan's Brian Bailey in a playoff. Both finished regulation play with matching 151's.

Jon Burnside (Fairmont State), Scott Micklewright (Millersville), and Dan Thompson (IUP) finished in a third place at 152. West Liberty had two players tied for sixth with 155 totals along with IUP's Brian Galica. David Bradshaw (Harpers Ferry, WV/Jefferson HS) led the Rams with a two-day total of 158 to finish in a tie for 13th place.
