"It probably is had to rationalize anything from such a disappointing
team finish BUT in lieu of the national scene and that two of our guys
had parents in Washington I am proud of what we DID do! Medalist honors
went to Matt Murphy of Fairmont 70-70. Point man for us was Justin Pugh
(Sr 77-75), next was Jason Pierson (Sr 80-76), next David Bradshaw (Fr 83-76),
followed by Billy Clusman (So 75-87) and Mat Segal (Jr 84-94). Billy
had a horrible hole that would have shaken anyone. A lost ball that was
presumed STOLEN by a guy picking up balls on the course led to a 12 on a
par 5! He reset and parred back in on the last three holes!!"
"I think we found something special, and we KNOW we are capable of
posting a great round. I am very excited about these guys and their
potential. I also hope a better score can be had at the #5 position.
The other guys really feed off each other."
Next match is at Hershey PA Sept 18. The Bel Meadows match was
cancelled due to a course conflict and will not be rescheduled this
fall.
