(SHEPHERDSTOWN, WV) -- Senior quarterback Joel Gordon (Waynesboro, VA/Waynesboro) completed 11-of-25 passes for 167 yards and a TD to lead Shepherd to a 27-7 win over Fairmont State.

Gordon became Shepherd's all-time in pass completions with 460 for his career. He breaks the old mark of 455 held by Chad Broadwater (1994-97).

Sophomore wide receiver Jamal Gardner (Staunton, VA/Robert E. Lee) led the Ram receiving corps with eight receptions for 105 yards, including a 66-yard scoring catch in the second quarter.

Michael Walker (Lorton, VA/Hayfield) rushed for 21 times for 83 yards and a touchdowns, while Alex Herbert (Monrovia, MD/Urbana) added 68 yards and a score on 15 carries to pace the Ram ground attack.

The Shepherd defense was led by sophomore linebacker Demar Atwood (Frederick, MD/Thomas Johnson) and redshirt-freshman outside linebacker Robert Jarvis (Richmond, VA/Hermitage). Atwood recorded 13 tackles and Jarvis added 10 stops. Sophomore Ron Frazier (Gaithersburg, MD/Gaithersburg) had five tackles, two pass breakups, and returned an interception 44 yards for a touchdown.

Michael Walker rushed for 83 yards and a touchdown in Shepherd's 27-7 win over Fairmont State.
