 SHEPHERD'S PETERS GAINS NATIONAL HONORS SHEPHERDSTOWN, WV -- Junior free safety Dan Peters (Cresson, PA/Penn Cambria HS) of the Shepherd University football team was named Co-Defensive Player of the Week by D2Football.com. Peters was a ball hawk in Shepherd's 34-7 win against West Liberty. The junior safety picked off four West Liberty passes and added a pair of tackles in holding the Hilltopper offense to 179 yards. He set a new Shepherd and WVIAC single season mark for interceptions with 12 on the year. Peters leads the nation in interceptions. |
