 WALLACE NAMED WVIAC OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK PRINCETON, WV --Junior running back Dervon Wallace (Lusby, MD/Calvert HS) of the Shepherd University football team was named WVIAC Offensive Player of the Week for his outstanding play against Glenville State last Saturday. Wallace led the ninth-ranked Rams to a 23-6 win over Glenville State by rushing for 194 yards on 23 carries and three touchdowns. He scored on rushes of 52, two, and 23 yards. Wallace's three scores moved him to 14th place on the all-time WVIAC scoring list with 246 career points. He leads the league in 2006 with eight touchdowns and 623 rush yards for the Rams. |
