 DUDINSKI, SCHMITT EARN WVIAC HONORS PRINCETON, WV --Senior cornerback Dustin Dudinski (Sterling, VA/ Park View HS) and junior kicker/punter Ricky Schmitt (Virginia Beach, VA/ Salem HS) of the Shepherd University football team gained honors from the West Virginia Conference this week. Dudinski was named WVIAC Defensive Player of the Week, while Schmitt grabbed WVIAC Special Teams Player of the Week honors. Dudinski intercepted two passes and broke up another in Shepherd's 34-13 win over Glenville State. He also accounted for six tackles (five solo). Schmitt connected on all four of his PAT attempts and booted field goals of 37 and 23 yards against the Pioneers. He also helped the Rams control field position by placing five of his six punts inside the 20-yard line with an average of 34.5 yards per kick.  |
