(EAST STROUDSBURG, PA) -- John Jeffries caught a pair of touchdown passes from Jeremy Palm in the final 6:04 of the game to lift East Stroudsburg University to a 35-23 win over Shepherd College in football action at Eiler-Martin Stadium.
Palm completed 23-of-43 passes for 368 yards and three scores. Jeffries led the Warrior receiving corps with eight receptions for 140 yards. Senior quarterback Joel Gordon (Waynesboro/ Waynesboro, VA) completed 15-of-34 passes for 188 yards and a touchdown for Shepherd. Sophomore wide receiver Jamal Gardner (Robert E. Lee/Staunton, VA) led the Ram receiving corps with four receptions for 60 yards, including a 14-yard touchdown reception. Redshirt-freshman running back Michael Walker (Hayfield/Lorton, VA) led all rushers with 24 carries for 144 yards. Sophomore running back Alex Herbert (Urbana/Monrovia, MD) added 78 yards on 13 carries.
