SHEPHERD WOMEN FINISH SIXTH AT DAVIS & ELKINS MEET

ELKINS, W.Va. --The Shepherd College women's cross country team finished sixth out of eight complete teams in the Mountain State Forest Festival Cross Country Invitational at Davis and Elkins College. The Shepherd men competed with an incomplete team.

West Virginia Wesleyan captured the women's team title, while Alderson-Broaddus claimed the men's crown.

Sophomore Meghan Dods led the Ram women with a 34th place finish with a time of 25:09.42. She was followed by sophomore Lindsay Johnson (44th, 27:05.98), freshman Rachel Brown (46th, 27:14.03), freshman Kelly Hunsecker (49th, 27:21.44), sophomore Tonya Angle (55th, 28:23.43), and senior Marsha Soergel (58th, 28:52.37).

The Ram men were led by freshman Daniel Rodgers. Rodgers finished in 26th place with a time of 31:10.33. Also finishing for the Rams were senior Danny Channell (35th, 31:56.12), freshman Chuck Moore (56th, 35:25.90), and freshman John Sine (63rd, 38:25.03).
