(ATHENS, WV) -- Shepherd College head coach Monte Cater earned his 100th win at Shepherd as the Rams handed Concord a 62-14 loss at Callaghan Stadium in Athens. Cater became just the fifth coach in conference history to reach the 100-win mark.

Junior quarterback Joel Gordon (Waynesboro/Waynesboro, VA) completed 16-of-22 passes for 257 yards and tied a school single-game record with five touchdown passes.

Senior wide receiver Jason Dirting (Martinsburg/Martinsburg, WV) led the Ram receivers with seven receptions for 107 yards. Dirting set the Ram single-season receptions mark with 66, surpassing the old mark of 61, set by John Fotta in 1985. He also set a new career mark with 23 touchdown catches, eclipsing the old mark of 22 set by Kelvin Stevens (1993-97). Dirting's nine touchdown receptions for the year tie the mark set by Stevens (1995), Justin Duhaime (1990), and Rob Bradford (1986).

Jamal Gardner (Robert E. Lee/Staunton, VA) and Jesse Correll (Calvert/ Port Republic, MD) each had two touchdown catches. Gardner also had four punt returns for 155 yards, including an 83-yard return for a touchdown in the fourth quarter.

Junior running back Travis Lynch (Frankfort/Ridgeley, WV) led all rushers with 135 yards on 20 carries.

The Shepherd defense was led by defensive back Matt Meadows (Hampshire/Romney, WV). Meadows had four tackles and two interceptions. Meadows returned one interception 33 yards for a touchdown and returned another 11 yards to set up a Ram score.

Shepherd improves to 8-2, 5-2 in conference play, while Concord drops to 1-9, 0-7.
