2006: Returning starter in the outfield.

2005: Appeared in 38 games with 36 starts. A First Team All-WVIAC choice at outfielder. Also earned First Team All-Region honors from both the ABCA and NCBWA. Was ranked fourth nationally and set a new Shepherd school single season record with a .471 batting average. Led the team in runs scored with 38. His 24 RBIs were fourth on the team. Tied for team lead in doubles (12) and triples (3). Also tied for second in home runs (4). Was 9-for-12 in stolen bases. Ranked 21st nationally in hit-by-pitch (0.32) and 57th in slugging percentage (.691).

Prior to Shepherd: A 2002 graduate of Southern Durham High School where he played baseball for Pete Shankle. A three-time Conference Player of the Year and three-time All-State selection at Southern Durham. Posted a 39-10 record on the mound over his career. Went 9-3 with a 2.23 ERA in senior year. Struck out 54 and walked only 15 in 54 innings. Posted a .560 batting average as a senior with two home runs and 31 RBI. Transfer from North Carolina State. Posted a 1-1 mark on the mound in eight apearances with a 5.60 ERA as a freshman. Win came over 12th-ranked Western Carolina. Recorded a 1-1 mark in seven appearances with a 2.53 ERA on the mound in 2004. Picked up win in relief against Elon.

Personal: Born 2-1-84. The son of Branson and Joanie Brown. His father served as assistant baseball coach for the Rams in the 1970s, while his mother is a 1979 Shepherd graduate. Is the nephew of Dr. V.J. Brown, the dean of business and social sciences at Shepherd. Majoring in psychology.
