SHEPHERDSTOWN, W. Va. -- Shepherd College dropped an 8-2 decision to Shippensburg University in baseball action at Fairfax Field on Friday afternoon.
Jason Walck (Waynesboro/Waynesboro, PA) and Charlie Drummond (Strasburg/ Strasburg, VA) each had two hits to lead the Rams.
The Red Raiders got a 4-for-5 effort from Steve Berkey with three RBI, while Brandon Conway added a 2-for-4 outing with two runs scored and a pair of RBI.
Shippensburg starter Evan Englebrook picked up the win, while Ram reliever Brian Renner (Handley (Potomac State)/Winchester, VA) took the loss.
Shepherd falls to 32-8-1, while the Red Raiders improve to 24-25-1.
The Rams return to action next Friday when they face the winner of the Davis & Elkins-West Liberty play-in game in the WVIAC Tournament at Hunnicutt Field in Princeton.
