SHEPHERD DROPS PAIR AT PRESBYTERIAN CLINTON, SC --Presbyterian College swept Shepherd College in baseball action on Sunday. The Blue Hose took game one with a 9-5 win and gained the sweep with a hard-fought 1-0 triumph in the nightcap. After falling behind 3-0 in game one, Shepherd cut the lead to 3-2 in the third inning on an RBI-single from Josh Delawder (Paw Paw, WV/ Paw Paw HS/Potomac State). Jason Walck (Waynesboro, PA/Waynesboro HS) smacked an RBI-single in the fourth to tie the game at 3-3. Presbyterian took a 7-3 lead with four runs in the bottom of the fourth with Jonathan Wyman's solo homer highlighting the inning. The Blue Hose had a 9-5 lead with two outs and the bases loaded in the ninth inning before Matt Boone struck out the final batter for the Rams to seal the win. Travis Hill picked up the win for the Blue Hose and Boone earned the save. Shepherd's Brian Chevalier (Herndon, VA/ Herndon HS) suffered the loss. Shane Wines (Front Royal, VA/Warren County HS) led the Rams at the plate with a 3-for-5 outing. Kevin White tossed a four-hit shutout in the nightcap for Presbyterian. Ram starter Brad McCullough (New Freedom, PA/Susquehannock HS), who allowed only three hits in five innings, took the loss. Presbyterian scored its lone run in the thirdon an RBI-single from Jake Lunnen. Walck went 2-for-3 to pace the Rams in the nightcap. Shepherd falls to 1-3, while Presbyterian improves to 5-5.
