DRUMMOND NAMED WVIAC CO-PLAYER OF THE WEEK

PRINCETON, WV --Senior All-America candidate Charlie Drummond (Strasburg, VA/Strasburg HS) of the Shepherd baseball team was named WVIAC Baseball Co-Player of the Week by the league office on Monday. He shared the honors with Jerry Adkins of West Virginia State.

Drummond went 9-for-18 (.500) with five home runs and 12 runs batted in as the Rams won four of five games. He also picked up a save in a win over nationally-ranked Slippery Rock. Drummond leads the league in home runs, slugging percentage, runs batted in, and saves.
