BROWN, MCCORMICK GAIN CONFERENCE HONORS

PRINCETON, WV -- Junior outfielder Collin Brown (Durham, NC/Southern Durham HS/NC State) and junior pitcher Scott McCormick (Stephens City, VA/Sherando HS/Potomac State) were recently honored by the West Virginia Conference. Brown was named WVIAC Baseball Player of the Week, while McCormick garnered WVIAC Baseball Pitcher of the Week honors.

Brown batted .417 as the Rams took second place in the USC Upstate Invitational. The transfer from NC State notched a pair of hits in victories against Bentley and St. Thomas Aquinas and knocked in three runs with a double and triple.

McCormick hurled a three-hitter in a complete game win over Bentley. The Potomac State transfer allowed a lone earned run, while striking out four in nine innings of work during the 4-1 Ram victory.
