KANN NAMED SHEPHERD BASEBALL ASSISTANT SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va -- Shepherd College head baseball coach Wayne Riser recently announced that Kris Kann has been named new assistant baseball coach. Kann comes to Shepherd from Mansfield University where he has served as pitching coach for the past two seasons. Kann, a 2002 graduate of Mansfield, was a three-year letterwinner as a pitcher for the Mountaineers from 1997-99. He earned All-PSAC honors in 1999 and was drafted in the 11th round by the Houston Astros. "I am pleased to add Kris to our staff," stated Riser. "He comes from a great program at Mansfield University. His experience as a professional ballplayer and coach at Mansfield make him a great addition to our program." |
